FRESH BLUEBERRY MUFFINS.

blueberries and ingredients to make muffins

our mail lady brought us some fresh blueberries from her blueberry bushes a couple of days ago.  how nice!  when i tasted these big, plump, sweet blueberries, i knew that they would make some yummy blueberry muffins.

stir blueberries into flour mixturefill muffin cups 2/3 full

FRESH BLUEBERRY MUFFINS

you will need:

2/3 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups blueberries

cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. add flour mixture to egg mixture alternately with milk, stirring in blueberries just before the mixture is completed.  fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

these fresh blueberry muffins were absolutely delicious this morning for breakfast.  thanks to our mail lady for sharing some of her wonderful blueberries with us.  we have enjoyed them!
