EASTER ON THE FARM

Y01A8965
on saturday we all gathered on the grounds behind mom and dad’s for a day full of easter fun!  my grandmama brought lots of easter ham, freshly-baked bread, tomatoes, pickles, and all the other fixins you could imagine and we enjoyed a tasty picnic under the pecan trees. the children played their little hearts out and everyone had a great time.  i’m sure that i am breaking all kinds of blog rules by posting way too many photos, but it was so hard to just pick a few. it was a BIG day with lots of people and lots of FUN!

SO! here are lots and lots of photos of our easter festivities on the farm!

MY GRANDPARENTS

These are just a few photos from Christmas Day at my Grandmama and Daddy Jim’s.  My mom is the oldest of their five children, and let me tell you… they are all a fun, hilarious bunch.  Since most everyone was there on Christmas, I got tons of group photos.  I just realized that I never got these posted, and I thought today seemed like the perfect day to share them.  My Daddy Jim is not in good health right now and he is currently in the hospital. Maybe you can send some prayers of love and healing his way?  I would appreciate it.  XO!

Thanks Lauren for taking these wonderful pictures – they are great and thanks for the post for Dad! I thought we were all fairly boring – just kidding…

NEW BOOKS.

last week while the boys were sick, my great-aunt joann from oklahoma was in town visiting.  i hate that we didn’t get to see her, but she was so sweet to send us a bag of trinkets.  the classic storybook corduroy for grayson, and a creepy crawler baby book for vincent.  corduroy is such a timeless book and is the most precious story.  the illustrations of all the insects in vincent’s book are so pretty and colorful… and it’s washable and safe for him if he decides to put it in his mouth!  her thoughtful little notes to them inside are so special.  they have both become very interested in books lately, and her gifts to them couldn’t have been better.  and i just love the pretty painted prayer!  what a wonderful daily reminder for me… i think i will put it beside the sink so that i can see it when i am washing dishes.  hope you all are having a miraculous week so far. XO!

GRAYSON TURNS THREE.

here are some peeks at grayson’s birthday party. it was such a fun-filled summer evening on the hill and the weather was absolutely perfect outside. our closest friends and family came to celebrate with us as we filled our porch with happiness and love. we grilled hamburgers and had birthday cake… played with sand, riding toys, lawn mowers, and each other!  we sang happy birthday and cheered… and the birthday boy smiled from ear to ear with excitement.  it was the most perfect celebration for the sweetest boy. what a great way to end our july!

(there are tons and tons of photos… but i wanted to document each and every part of our sweet boy’s special day.)

so much fun!  the end. xo!
