FROM THE HILL AT HOPEWELL »

with temperatures pushing 70 degrees over the weekend, the time change did not slow us down. not one bit.  if anything, it made us hurry up and get outside and enjoy the spring-like weather for as long as the sun would allow.  on saturday, my grandmama, mom, and dad came over and brought lunch.  we ate out on the porch, and it was so nice.  then on sunday afternoon, my mom and dad came over for one of my famous hillbucks lattes (get it? hillbucks.  like starbucks, except with hill.  because we live on the hill.  at hopewell ;) and of course they played trains too!! on the porch!△ we picked up a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread at panera.  with a little spread of butter and toasted, it paired perfectly with a cup of breakfast blend coffee saturday morning.  one of these days, i am determined to make my own bread! △△ he made “O’s” with his tracks while i made up the beds. △△ i made oatmeal fudge!  why?  because i can, that’s why!  it was soooo good.  and guess what?!  it’s already gone.  it’s terribly easy to eat it as you’re making it, ha.  that stuff does not last long around here, at all. △△ somebody kept inching his little self closer and closer to thomas, so daddy sat him on the choo-choo and he was ready to roll.  it won’t be long, for sure! △△ we had so much fun outside on saturday, that sunday morning started out on the porch playing trains bright and early!! △△ he had a ball playing with the ball!  ;) we rolled it and tossed it around for the longest time.  he would get so tickled and would clap! clap! clap! and say YAYYY!! when he would get it. △△ he hopped on his tractor for a whole bunch of rides.  “mama! around and around!”, he would say.  the boy can go!!  and i mean, he can go fast! △△ we played outside all the way up until sunset on sunday evening.  neither one of them were ready to go inside when we did.  but you know, it was time.  but they were really having way too much fun.  sooo much fun that this morning (on the first monday morning after the time change, of course!), we overslept a bit!  was your weekend nice? have you adjusted to the time change?  hope your monday was swell! △
